Enzo Tosoni is an accomplished trombonist, educator, and artistic director at Le JAM. He was awarded the Gold Medal from the National Conservatory of Toulouse. With a dynamic career as a stage musician, he has performed with a remarkable array of artists across genres and continents. His collaborations include jazz legends and world music icons such as Didier Lockwood, Nicole Croisille, Christian “Ton-Ton” Salut, Louis Petrucciani, Jean-Pierre Llabador, and Maxim Saury.
Enzo has played with renowned big bands such as the Portal Big Band, Michel Leeb Big Band, Big Band Brass, and Europa Jazz Big Band. His international career has taken him from Paris to Caracas, working with Camillo Azuquita, Orlando Watusi, Jesús Mandinga, Son Tizon, Madéra, Carlos “Patao” Valdés, and Orlando Poleo. In France, he has also performed with groups like Zumbao, Del Dongo y su Aguacate, Alfredo Rodriguez, and SAFI in Montpellier.
His versatility is further showcased in collaborations with the Gipsy Kings, Sam Moore (Chicago), Ti Fok (Réunion), Séga Sidibé (Mali), Dédé Fourez (Réunion), Béta Simmon (Ivory Coast), Bingui Jah Jamin (Burkina Faso), and French avant-garde composer Pascal Comelade.
As the pedagogical director of Le JAM, Enzo Tosoni brings his international experience and deep musical knowledge to the next generation of musicians, fostering excellence and creativity in jazz and beyond.
