He recently took over as Coordinator of the Flamenco School at Taller de Músics, where he also teaches. Alongside, he is a teacher trainer and independent composer and producer. He specializes in flamenco and Latin piano, being the author of numerous publications on teaching materials worldwide.
Celebrated for his contributions to flamenco piano he combines analytical precision with artistic expression. Torijano has developed a series of comprehensive flamenco piano methods, including the acclaimed Piano Flamenco Method Vol. 1 & 2, which guide pianists through the rhythmic and harmonic structures of flamenco styles such as Soleá, Alegrías, and Tanguillos. These methods are utilized by students and professionals worldwide.
As the official arranger of Paco de Lucía’s works for piano, Torijano has played a pivotal role in adapting flamenco guitar masterpieces for the keyboard, making them accessible to a broader range of musicians. His collaborations span a diverse array of artists, including flamenco legends Carles Benavent and Joan Albert Amargós, harmonica virtuoso Antonio Serrano, and contemporary pop icon Rosalía.
